Laverne Kindred

Laverne Lois Kindred, age 74, passed away at 5:30PM on September 10, 2024 at Magnolia Square Nursing Home.

She was born on January 23, 1950 in St. Louis to Leslie and Lucille Lane. She married Jay William Kindred on September 25, 1970 in Italy where he was stationed in the military.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandma and great grandma. She loved spending time with her husband and family. She enjoyed reading, visiting the library, being involved in her church and doing crafts and games with her grandchildren. The most important thing to her was her relationship with Jesus which showed in her love, care and commitment to serving others.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Linda Moore, brother Les Lane, and daughter Laura Lane.

She is survived by her husband, son in law Danny Lane, daughter Trisa Silliman (Steve), her grandchildren Chandler, Sierra, Kelsi (Gage), Mikaila (Michael), Andrii (Jordan), Nicole (Jesse), Vova, Artem, Rachel, and Serhii, and her great grandchildren Addyson and Brooklyn. She is also survived also by two her sisters Lola Cook (Ray) and Lisa Davis (Gary) and sister in law Alhesha Whitmire.

A Visitation will be held from 10-11am on Monday, September 16, 2024 at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut Street in Springfield, Missouri where Laverne's Memorial Service will begin at 11:00am with Reverend Ken Horn officiating. Private burial will take place at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.
