Larry Allen Will, age 70, of Republic, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2012 after a long battle with colon cancer. He was born March 18, 1942, in Glendale, CA, to Glenn and Eloise (Tucker) Will. Larry, a 35-year employee of Butternut Bread, was known for his love of classic cars and his ability to fabricate car parts out of anything. He was a huge Nascar fan, an excellent carpenter, and a lifelong learner. He was a member of Royal Tin, Nostalgia Rods and Rods and Relics car clubs. He and his 40 Ford attended car shows and rod runs throughout the area receiving many awards for excellence.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepson, Marty Stein. Larry is survived by his loving wife and partner of 18 years Karen (Stone), Republic; his sister Laurie (& Warren) Dreyer, Reno, NV; his sons Randy (& Kim) Will, Springfield, and Tarry Will, Springfield, and his step-children Jeremy Wayne Keltner, Springfield, Misti Stein, Springfield, Jackie Carver, Springfield and Pam Goodwin, Mesa, AZ; six grandchildren, Chase, Ian, Heather, Aron, Taylor and Isaac; four great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday May 24, 2012 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home with the Reverend David Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
