Larry Wayne Lutz

Larry Wayne Lutz, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2025, in Springfield, Missouri, the city he proudly called home since his birth on September 16, 1943. Larry’s spirit and legacy will remain forever etched in the hearts of those who knew him.

Throughout his life, Larry was known for his unwavering dedication to his career as a roofer. He enjoyed the camaraderie of working alongside his brothers, sons, and most recently, his grandson. Larry's exceptional work ethic not only provided for his family but also instilled in them values of determination and resilience.

Outside of work, Larry found joy in a variety of hobbies that brought him immense pleasure. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed the thrill of gambling and racing. However, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family. Larry cherished every moment with his loved ones and created countless memories that will be treasured forever.

Larry is survived by two loving daughters, Penny Shover and Lisa Bussard, a daughter-in-law, Rosa Lutz, and three sisters-in-law, Sharon, Joyce, and Betty. He was a proud grandfather to eleven grandchildren and delighted in the joy of many great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense happiness and pride. He is also remembered fondly by a host of extended family and friends who cherished their time spent with him.

Larry joins those he loved and lost, including his father, Gus Lutz; mother, Etta (Wolliver) Lutz; his beloved wife, Linda (Routt) Lutz; sons: Daniel, Robert, Larry Wayne, and Kenny (infant); as well as six brothers: Eddie, Junior "Gus," Bill, Jim, Donnie, and Floyd; and three sisters: Dorlee, Linda, and Belva. Their spirits welcomed him with open arms, and together they will continue to watch over those left behind.
