Larry B. Kapp Larry B. Kapp, son of the late Joseph F. Kapp and Winifred C. Shaver Kapp, was born August 21, 1936 and peacefully departed this life July 30, 2004 in his home. He was a lifelong citizen of Springfield, MO, a member of First & Calvary Presbyterian Church and the Masonic and Abou Ben Adhem Temples. Larry worked for 46 years as a millwright and boiler man in local industries, 21 of those at the R.T. French Co. and retired five years ago from the City of Springfield. He was an active union member and labor supporter throughout his career and served as a union steward and arbitrator. Many will remember him as an active political participant and enthusiastic supporter of the Democratic party. He worked on numerous national and local campaigns throughout the years. Larry was an avid aviator and logged many hours flying his airplane. He also loved sailing and became a certified sea captain. He enjoyed many Carribean voyages and will be missed for his passion and adventurous spirit. He was an outspoken friend to his companions, neighbors and coworkers. He is survived by four children from his marriage to Sarah E. Kapp, Kathie Domenico of Springfield, MO, Vickie and husband Arthur Boyt of Neosho, MO, Dennis and wife Barbara Radford-Kapp of Springfield, MO, Daryl and wife Lori Kapp of Seattle WA; eight grandchildren, Turner Kapp of Guam, USA, Hank Domenico, Karah Domenico, Charlie Domenico, Peter Radford-Kapp, Zoe Radford-Kapp of Springfield, MO, and twins Carson and Riley Kapp of Seattle, WA; a brother Ronnie Kapp of Warsaw, MO, sisters Janice Henderson of Yorba Linda, CA, and Terry Ann Kapp of Springfield, MO; aunts Neva Kapp and Ruth Tolliver of La Porte, IN, Bette Kenney of Paso Robeles, CA, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m., Monday, Aug. 2nd in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home 500 E. Walnut. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 3rd in First & Calvary Presbyterian Church.
