LARRY JAMES DAVISON, age 71
Larry passed on October 3, 2021, at his home in Springfield, Missouri. A citizen of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, Larry was born December 29, 1949, to Carl Richard (Dick) Davison and Georgia Hughes (Chance) in Okmulgee, OK. The second eldest of four children, he is survived by his older sister Lana Nelson, brother Don Davison, two daughters Michelle and Lisa Davison, his grandson Parker Gibson, and his nieces. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Ronald Davison. Larry requested to be cremated and for his ashes to be scattered over a Muscogee tribal cemetery.
Larry attended Robert S. McLain Senior High in Tulsa, OK, later transferring and graduating from Nathan Hale High School in 1968.
He was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 178 Union where he completed the 5-year Apprenticeship Training Program, followed by Certification Courses through the United Association of Journeymen. He truly enjoyed continually improving and expanding his educational opportunities throughout his lifetime.
A longtime resident of Springfield, Larry was well-liked by many. His hobbies included deer hunting, fishing, rock climbing, hiking, camping and boating. He was also an avid arrowhead collector, loved music and had an interest in motorcycles.
