LaNette (Winder) Cantrell 64 of Springfield, Missouri
LaNette (Winder) Cantrell went home to be with the Lord Thursday morning March 22nd at 8:36 AM at Cox Medical Center after a brief illness. LaNette was born in Cortez, Colorado and raised in Utah before her family moved to the Springfield area in the early 1960’s. She worked for many years in the dry cleaning business that she and her husband Bert Cantrell owned. She had also owned an antique store for a period of time which was a passion as well as collecting antique signs of all types, Depression glass and baseball cards.
LaNette was known as a hard worker and a great cook. Her home was always open to friends, family and strangers especially during the holidays. It was common place that people she might have just met would be in attendance at one of her abundant Thanksgiving or Christmas meals. No one ever left hungry. LaNette loved her family and her many grandchildren.
LaNette is survived by her husband Bert Cantrell; her sister, Mert and her husband Gabe Cox of Springfield, Missouri; her son, Tim and wife Mindy Johnson of Rogersville, MO; her daughter, Tammy and husband Bill Garton of Stilwell, Kansas; her daughter Terri and husband Brent Miller of Jefferson City, MO; her daughter, Tina and husband Ben Dulle of Burlington, Wisconsin; Grandchildren Ashley, Adam and Andrew Johnson; Kendra Meacham; Madison, Meg, Mia and Andrew Garton; Aaron and Ryan Miller; Amanda, Emily and Hannah Dulle. She is also survived by a niece Angela and husband Micheal Chilton of Springfield, MO. LaNette was predeceased by her parents Hal and Marie Winder and a brother Leon.
