Lance Wheelis

Lance Sidney Wheelis, 71, Ozark, Missouri, departed this life on May 2, 2013, at his home. He was born
January 31, 1942, in St. Louis, Missouri, to J P and Iva Wheelis. Lance served in the United States Navy
and worked in construction. He is preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife, Janet Wheelis, his mother, Iva Wheelis, of St. Louis, Missouri, three children, Lance Jay Wheelis, of Strafford, Missouri, Tracy Lynn, Republic, Missouri, and Lea Sprenkle, Pompano Beach, Florida. Four grandchildren, Brittany Patrick, Pvt. Matthew Wheelis, Zachary Wheelis and Jessica Sprenkle, and four great grandchildren Aiden Patrick, Aubrey Brock, Jace Brock and Addyson Wheelis.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 5, 2013, at the Eagles Club in Ozark. Cremation services are under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, Springfield.
