Lacey Racheal Ames, aged 43, passed away peacefully at her residence on January 26, 2025. Born on August 17, 1981 to Cecil Benjamin and Virginia Angelina (Vanover) Glascoe, Lacey was a loving wife, daughter, sister, and friend, whose warm heart and compassionate spirit touched the lives of those around her.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Lacey is survived by her devoted husband, Richard "Rick" Ames; her mother, Virginia Angelina Smith; her sister, Katie; and her brothers; Ben and Jeffery, her "children" Peter (hog) & Sky Annabella Ames (dog). She is also cherished by many other family members and friends who will remember her kindness and generosity.
Throughout her life, Lacey possessed a kind heart, always eager to help others in need. Her love for the outdoors led her to many joyful moments, especially swimming in rivers and lakes, where she found a sense of peace and happiness. An avid collector, she treasured Egyptian figurines, antique perfume bottles, and a vibrant array of jewelry from the 1920s. Lacey also enjoyed playing Yahtzee, finding joy in the game even when playing remotely with her beloved mother.
