Lela Margaret Powell, 92, Springfield, MO passed away Monday, January 14, 2013 in Christian Health Care East.
She was born September 7, 1920 in Purcell, OK to Joseph Calvin and Ella Forda (Ockerman) Clayton.
Lela was an optician for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Eugene Powell and her nephew David.
Survivors include her nieces and nephew, Donna Smyrl, Dianne Levien and Mike Clayton , Betty Wilson, Doris Farabee and many other great nieces, great nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends from 7:00-8:00 PM Thursday, January 17, 2013 in Herman Lohmeyer Funeral Home. Memorial graveside services will be held at 1:30 PM Friday, January 18, 2013 in Maple Park Cemetery, Springfield, MO.
