Kenneth Dale Marcum, 77, Springfield, passed away Monday, January 10, 2011 in his home.
He was born March 16, 1933 in Grinell, Iowa to John Samuel and Violet (Wood) Marcum. Kenneth was a veteran of the Korean War serving 17 years in the US Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and his grandson, Christopher Cooley.
He is survived by his wife Rhea Marcum; daughters, Ginny, Cathy Cooley and her husband Tim, and Mary Frances Marcum; grandchildren, James, Amanda, Aubrey, Ian, Abigail, Aspen, Rhea, and Fae; brothers, George Marcum, and his wife Helen, Frank Marcum, and his wife Sue, Alvin Marcum, and his wife Rose; sisters, Margaret Butler, Rosie Heinzeman, and her husband Bob, Ruth Crites, and her husband Bob, and Dolores Mayfield, and her husband Ray; and many other family members and friends.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday January 13, 2011 in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Burial with military honors will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home.
Visitation will be an hour before the Mass from 9 to 10 a.m. in the church.
