Kenneth F. Keegan, 47, Franklin, WI formerly of Pea Ridge, AR was born October 1, 1951 in Washington, DC to Kenneth B. and Marion Pacala Keegan and died suddenly in his home April 25, 1999 at 8 p.m.

He attended Montgomery College in Rockville, MD where he earned an Associate's Degree in Electronic Technology. He worked as a Telecom Technician for Wal-Mart Headquarters in Bentonville, AR for 12 years and retired in July 1998 to attend the Sacred Heart School of Theology in Franklin, WI where he was studying to enter the vocation of the Priesthood.

He was an active member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Rogers, AR where he served on the Parish Council and the Liturgy and Worship Commission, and provided many other services to the church. He joined the Knights of Columbus in 1986 and earned the 4th degree Knight in 1989 in Rogers, AR. He was a member of several chapters of The Lions Club, where he held many officer positions. His hobbies included stained glass, macram�, hunting, fishing, camping, backgammon, and darts.

He is survived by his Mother, Marion Pacala Keegan, Springfield, MO, 7 sisters and 1 brother - Adele Marie Keegan, Kansas City, MO; Patricia Ann Marhefka, and her husband, Ronald Paul Marhefka, Mineral Point, PA; Mary Catherine Hall, Alexandria, VA; Thomas Marion Keegan, Germantown, MD; Carol Ann Keegan, Springfield, MO; Teresa Annette Keegan, St. Louis, MO; Donna Frances Benton and her husband, Patrick J. Benton, Crofton, MD and Regina Ann Keegan, Springfield, MO. He is also survived by 3 nephews, 3 nieces, and 3 great nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth B. Keegan in 1988 and 2 nephews.

Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 1 in St. Agnes Cathedral, 533 S. Jefferson St., Springfield, MO 65806 with Father Tom Kiefer celebrant. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Springfield, MO.

Visitation will be Friday, from 5 to 7 p.m. April 30 , followed by Prayer Service at 7 p.m. in Herman Lohmeyer Chapel, 500 E Walnut St., Springfield, MO 65806. The casket will be closed at all times.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Monsignor James E. O'Connell Seminary Burse Fund in care of the Diocese of Little Rock, AR to establish a Burse in Kenneth F. Keegan's name, or the Knights of Columbus in Rogers, AR, The Lions Club in Pea Ridge, AR, or St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Rogers, AR.
