Kathryn Self

Katie May Self, 20 years old, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2013.

She was born to T. David and Mary Kay Self on December 12, 1992. She was born in St. Louis County, MO. Katie was a graduate of Parkview High School Class of 2011. Family and friends were Katie’s love and joy. She enjoyed sports & many outdoor activities. She was vibrant, out-going, beautiful, determined, genuine and an unforgettable young woman. She will be missed beyond words! We will always remember her infectious smile, and loving and caring personality.

Katie is preceded in death by Rebecca May Smith; paternal grandmother, Ralph and Mary Lee West; maternal grandparents, and Ryan Pretak; infant cousin.

Katie is survived by her parents, T. David and Mary Kay Self; Godparents, Debbie Holmes and Al Pretak; many aunts and uncles, and also loved by many cousins & extended family.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2013 in Herman Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut Street.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 23, 2013 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1115 N. Campbell Ave. with Father Bob Landewe, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, 4528 W. Division St., Springfield, MO.

If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
