Kathryn Crosswhite, age 64, passed away in Springfield, Missouri, on Monday, September 17th, 2018 at Springfield Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Kathryn was born on July 7, 1954 in Fort Dodge Iowa, to Harold and Marilyn (Vinsand) Blanchard.
Kathryn loved to read. She served as a librarian in a public library and also worked in a book store. You could always find her nose buried in a new book. She enjoyed all types of genres of books, fiction and non-fiction, mystery novels, inspirational stories, you never knew what she would read next.
Kathryn also loved to socialize with her family and friends. She was a cheerful soul and it seemed that her fun and cheery nature attracted all sorts of people and friends to her. She loved to make people laugh.
Kathryn is survived by her loving husband; Kenneth Crosswhite, Her two children; Zachary (Jessica) Crosswhite and Jessamyn (Robert) Doty, her sister, Toni (Edward) Sleeth, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many beloved family and friends.
A memorial service will be held for Kathryn on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Chapel, 500 E. Walnut St., Springfield, Missouri, 65806.
