Katherine Breazeale Mayeux Greenburg

Katherine “Kitty” Breazeale Mayeux Greenburg, 99 was born on August 17, 1913 in Belzona, MS to Harriet (Kitchen) and Erwin Bradley Breazeale. She died at Mercy Villa, Springfield, MO on Thursday May 23. 2013. Kitty was known for her beautiful smile and kind spirit.

She lived most of her life in New Orleans, LA, Pass Christian, MS and the last 15 years in Springfield, MO. She is survived by her children Virginia Mayeux, Springfield, James Mayeux (Connie) Asherton, TX, Barbara Mayeux Koppe (Tom) Pass Christian, MS, and N. Philip Mayeux Asheville, NC. Her grandchildren, Noah Mayeux (Melissa), Nicole Mayeux McCauley (Curt), and Clay Mayeux; Great-grandchildren Kate, Noah and Maggie Mayeux and Curt McCauley. Kitty is also loved by many other family and friends, especially Mary Ann Horton and the extended Horton family.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Noah Mayeux and Max Greenburg, and her children Stanley and Andrea Mayeux.

A special thanks to all the Mercy Villa personnel, especially the Hope Unit staff and chaplains and Mercy Hospice for the wonderful love, care and concern given the past 8 years.

Memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuessday May 28, 2013 in Mercy Villa, 1100 E. Montclair, Springfield, MO with Fr. Mark Ernstmann and Fr. Mike McDevitt celebrating under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will take place at a later date in New Orleans, LA, Lake Lawn Cemetery.
