Kathe Blanco

Kathe (Katerina) Lena Blanco (Mildenberger) was born October 05,1936 (Germany) and passed away April 10, 2023 at 12:12 pm (USA), having lived a full life from a little girl in Germany surviving WWII and living thru the depression to in her early 20s becoming an American Citizen.

Her travels continued throughout the duration of her life of having numerous sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins residing in Germany, many that are still surviving/many deceased. A sister, nieces, nephew in Canada. Different locations throughout Europe including France, the tearing down of the Berlin wall and numerous States in the USA.

There's few strangers she had met on her walk of life, nor enough pictures to take. She became active in the American Legion, VFW, Elks Lodge and Hammons Tower Club. She also was employed part time for 20 years with Sherman Lollar Bowling Alley to watch children during Leagues.

She leaves behind children, step children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sisters, brothers, cousins and countless friends. She too leaves acquired family members (staff-residents) at Magnolia Square Nursing and Rehab, ie- Helen, Charlene, Erika, The Colonel (Tammy) and the wonderful assistance of the Nurses/Aides of Haven Hospice and Chaplain Dave.

She has been set free and is dancing amongst the stars and is singing with Frank Sinatra, Glen Miller, Nat King Cole and all those tops of that area. She passed in peace and for all that knew her, know, she would have her last request be, that you live it and be happy for each day given, keep smiling, take pictures, enjoy the music. Sing, dance and enjoy each person you encounter on your path of life while on this glorious planet.

A Graveside Service will be at 1:00 pm, Friday, April 14th, 2023 at Hazelwood Cemetery: 1642 E. Seminole Springfield, Missouri 65804, with Chaplin Dave Perry presiding over services.
