Karen S. Gray, peacefully passed away in her home the morning of Friday, October 2nd following an extended illness.
Karen was born May 30th, 1958 in Springfield, MO to Don and Ann Waggoner. She married Michael Gray on April 16th, 1979. For most of her life Karen was a homemaker for her family. She was an exceptionally kind person with an old soul. She was an incredible wife, mother and grandmother.
Over the course of her life she had a passion for arts & crafts, baking and cake decorating. She was also a movie buff who loved watching movies with her family. She loved to share a laugh and would gladly talk your ear off. Karen will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Don and Ann Waggoner; Sister, Marilyn White; Daughter, Amy LaPoint.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Gray; Son, Timothy Gray; Son, Matthew Gray; Son in law, Aaron LaPoint, Daughter in law, Eryn Gray; Daughter in law, Brenda Gray and her Grandchildren, Katy, Kylie, Isabel, Noel, Noah, Hailey.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 in Resurrection Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri with Father Tom Kiefer officiating.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home in Springfield, Missouri.
