June Johnson

June Johnson

June G. Johnson, at ninety one years old, began her journey with the Lord on October 17, 2021.

She was born in Sunrise, Wyoming to William and Jennie Clevenger, the youngest of three children. She had one brother, William Jr., and a sister, Genievieve. She graduated from high school in Sunrise, Wyoming in 1948.

She married Sam McQuisten, from Wheatland, Wyoming and had three children, Beverly (McQuisten) Hodges, Patti (McQuisten) Armitage and Robert McQuisten. They moved their family to Missouri in 1959. June worked at General Electric Company in Springfield until she retired.

June later married William Johnson and began to travel with him until his death in 2006. She made her home in Ozark, Missouri at North Park Assisted Living.

June enjoyed visiting her friends, family gatherings, and country music. She also enjoyed her fishing along with traveling to different places.

She is survived by her two children, Beverly Hodges and Robert McQuisten; five grandchildren, Jeff Armitage, David Armitage, Matthew McQuisten, Kelsey (McQuisten) Thomas and Mike Hodges; 10 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. A span of five generations, including nieces, nephews and their families who live in Washington, Idaho, Colorado, and Wyoming.

June was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Sam McQuisten; second husband, William Johnson; her daughter, Patti Armitage; and her grandson, Kevin Hodges.

A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00am on Friday, October 22, 2021, at Ozark Presbyterian Church, 1932 E. State Hwy 14 in Ozark, Missouri. A Memorial Service will be held following the visitation at 11:00am. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral home in Springfield, Missouri.

Burial will follow at a later time in Horseshoe Cemetery at Glendo, Wyoming.
