June Crandall, 91, Springfield, passed away March 11, 2010 in Cox South Hospital.
June was born to Walter and Kate Bartels in Mountain View, MO on April 11, 1918. After moving to Springfield she attended Springfield Senior High graduating in 1937.
While attending Senior High, she met the love of her life, Ransom Crandall. They were married April 11, 1939 and were married 64 years. June was preceded in death by Ransom in 2003. She worked as a retail clerk for the Ralph Brown Markets. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and held many offices. June was active in her church, St. Paul United Methodist, serving several positions in United Methodist Women. Her love of the Lord shone in her face and was evident in the love she shared with others.
June is survived by two sons and their wives, Ronn and Vivien Crandall and Don and Marcie Crandall; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Kellner, and husband Mike, Courtney VanHise, and husband Don, Scott Crandall, and wife Tammie, Angie Mulkey, and husband Sean; 14 great grandchildren; special sister-in-law Martha Weaver, and a brother-in-law, Harlyn Crandall; beloved cousins, Bob McArthur, his wife Suzi and his sister Beverly Sexton; and numerous nieces, nephews, and numerous friends that were touched by her love.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday March 14, 2010 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut St.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday March 15, 2010 in St. Paul United Methodist Church with Rev. Carol Ann Chilton officiating. Burial will be in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.
