Judy Anne Dabney, 61, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away at 5:37 am Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Mercy Hospital after a long battle with health issues.
Judy was born August 21, 1959, in Rolla, Missouri to Oliver and Nettie (Woolsey) Dabney. Judy graduated high school in Lebanon, Missouri and went on to attend college at SMS and OTC where she studied business and machinery. She was in the Army Reserves from 1976-1979 and had training at Fort Jackson in South Carolina. Judy Worked at Modern Distributing for 10 years and managed a landscaping business for 5 years.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sisters, Jean Miller and Joyce Dabney; brother, John Dabney; son, Nathan Dabney Rogers; grandson, Nathan Dabney Rogers II; great-grandson, Armani Nicholas Salsman; and her life partner of many years, Brenda Swearingin.
Judy was known as “Earthy Greengrass”, She loved the outdoors, wild flowers, fishing and working in the yard. She loved her twin cats named This and That. She enjoyed her bud and her favorite car was her red ’95 Mitsubishi eclipse. First and foremost, Judy adored her family. She was a hard worker and had a big heart. She will be greatly missed by many friends and family.
A memorial visitation and service will be held for Judy on Monday, July 19, 2021 at the Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home Chapel, 500 E. Walnut Street. The Visitation will start at 10:00 am and the Service will begin at 11:00 am.
