Joyce Block

Joyce Fay Block, 71, Ozark, passed away on Sunday August 9, 2015.

Joyce was born March 28, 1944 in Monett, Missouri to Ramon and Byrl (Stinson Spillman) Carver. Her family was her biggest joy, and the friendships made throughout her life were a great gift! Joyce’s faith in God led her through this life and to eternity.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ronald Carver, Ph.D.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Block; daughters, Tracy Smith (Rob) and Suzanne Haslett (Eric); son, Russell Block; sister, Gayla Crisp (Jack); sister-in-law, Mary Lou Carver; grandchildren, Andrew Smith (Chelsea), Alyssa Smith, Meagan Smith, Carly Block, Cameron Block, and Chaya Haslett; great granddaughter, Audrey Smith; and cousins, nieces, nephews and many many friends who she considered family.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday August 15, 2015 in Cassidy United Methodist Church, 5151 N. Fremont Road, Nixa, under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut Street.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday August 14, 2015 in the church.

Burial will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. in Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
