Joshua Morris

Joshua Morris, age 35, of Springfield, MO, passed away October 7, 2013 at Mercy Hospital. Josh was born to Kevin and Dale Morris on June 19, 1978, in St. Louis, Mo. He was saved and baptized as a child and was a member of New Home Baptist Church. He was married to Jennifer Morris on June 9, 2012 in Springfield, Mo.

Josh loved all of those around him. He enjoyed watching the Chiefs, cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals, fishing, singing and having a good time with the people who surrounded him. Josh was an excellent cook, who enjoyed entertaining guests with outstanding food. He was employed at Aramark Food Service where he took great pride in his work. Above all, Josh enjoyed putting the need of others above his own and making people happy.

Joshua is preceded in death by his grandparents Willie Edward Morris and Jewel Marie Powell.
He is survived by his wife Jennifer Leigh Morris of Springfield, MO; his beloved grandmother Patricia Morris of Miller, Mo; his father and mother Kevin and Dale Morris of Miller, MO; two brothers, Derek Morris of Miller, MO and Ryan Morris of Springfield, Mo; nephew Aiden Morris of Springfield, Mo; as well as uncles, relatives and close friends.

Memorial services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 11, 2013, at Miller First Baptist Church; Brother Mike Willmouth and Joe Haas officiating the celebration.
