He was born December 13, 1983 in Rockford, Illinois to David Edward Swanson and Dawn Marie (Blake) Howard.
Joseph was preceded in death by his grandmother, Dixie Lee Blake; cousin, Janet Heier; great-grandfather, Arthur Blake; great-grandmother, Dorothy Rouse; and great-uncle, Duane Blake.
He is survived by his children, Kyle Joe Stumpff, Noah Ryan Swanson, and Logan Turner Swanson; mother, Dawn Marie Howard (Rocky L.); father, David Edward Swanson (Lynn); brother, Kevin Leroy Swanson; grandfather, Gary L. Blake (Pamela); grandfather, William Swanson; grandmother, Mary Bolden; and many other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2016 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut Street. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. Saturday until the start of the service in the funeral home.
