Joseph Richard Heotis, 66, of Ozark, Missouri, passed away on Monday, July 26th, 2021 in Springfield Missouri.
He was born February 10th, 1955, in St. Louis Missouri, the son of Agamemnon George and Nina May (Crabtree) Heotis.
Joseph served his country in the United States Army as the rank of Specialist in the Infantry and Air Assault as a Recovery Specialist for 6 years and 4 months.
He worked as owner of Wilderness Welding where he was welder and fabricator of many machines.
He was preceded in death by his parents Agamemnon George and Nina May (Crabtree) Heotis, wife Christina (Lyon) Heotis, and son Joshua Pope.
Joseph is survived by his children Brandon Pope, Amanda (Ryan) Englehart, and Nathaniel (Erin) Heotis, sister Mary (Larry) Dubic, 9 grandchildren, and many extended family and friends
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am, Friday, August 6th, 2021, at Wesley United Methodist Church: 922 W. Republic Road Springfield, MO 65807, with Pastor Mike McIntyre presiding over the services. Burial will follow at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, MO under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home.
