Jonathon Noggle

Jonathon “Kim” Noggle, 65, of Springfield, Missouri passed away at 3:52 a.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2013 in Mercy Hospital. His death was a result of congestive heart failure.

He was born on August 29, 1948 in San Francisco, California to Jim and Donna Noggle. He attended school in Warrensburg and Springfield, graduating from Parkview High School in 1966. He was married to Linda Albrecht (deceased) which produced a son. He was also married to Vicki Koller the love of his life which produced his youngest son. Although divorced, they remained dear friends. He worked in transportation all his life. He referred to it as being a “relocation engineer”. He retired from Stripes and Stuff.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jim and Donna Noggle, precious family members and some dear friends.

Survivors include son, Joshua (Chris) step-children, Mike, Maranda, Matt and granddaughter, Skylen; son Jabe (Caron Coleman) and their son, Jaxzon. He was the light of his granddad’s life; sister, Pam Sutherland (Donnie) and their sons, Scott of Denver, Co, Dave (Deanna) and their sons, Oscar and Christian of Arvada, Co,; brother, Mike (Gail) and their daughters Amanda of Seattle, WA, Adrianne of Republic, Mo, and two grandsons. Survivors also include aunts and an uncle, members of our beloved “Cousins Club”, their spouses, we call them “The Outlaws”, and many more cousins, too numerous to name. It’s a large and loving family.

Kim was a devoted mentor to the Boy Scouts, especially Troop 16. He burst with pride, when each of his sons achieved their rank of Eagle Scout. For years his farm was used for campouts, the Boy Scouts lovingly named it “Noggleland”.
Kim was masterful at telling a good joke. Always the last man standing, with more to come, if you could quit laughing long enough to hear more. He inherited his sense of humor, kindness, compassion, work ethic and acceptance of others for who they are from his parents. He loved the Chiefs, Cardinals, barbeque, butterscotch, roses, poetry, Route 66, music, dogs, chopping wood, hunting with his sons and friends or a pretty drive in the country. He collected American Indian artifacts, prayers and myths. He was "Big" in stature with a tender heart, steady and strong, and never lost his smile. He was a much – loved and honorable man. He was a simple man who loved life. We will miss his hugs. He was a real trip.

Memorial visitation will be held Thursday, November 14, from 6 – 8 p.m. at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut Street. Memorial graveside services will be Friday, November 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Rock Prairie Cemetery in Halltown.
