Jonas Miller

Jonas LaVern Miller, 82, went home to be with the Lord October 2, 2022.

Jonas was born June 1, 1940, to Jonas Rudolph Miller and Irene Mae Feeney Miller in Hysham, Montana.

In 1945 he moved to Billings, Montana where he lived until he joined the United States Marine Corp. in 1957. After being honorably discharged in 1961 he lived in Billings until him and a friend moved to Iowa Park, Texas in 1966. He met and married Rena Dutton Miller in 1970 and had one daughter in 1973. They divorced in 1997.

In high school, Jonas was active playing football, baseball, and running track. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, traveling, stamp collecting, and scrapbooking with his daughter. He enjoyed music and playing games. He was a huge baseball fan and enjoyed friendly dinner bets with his daughter during the World Series games. He was a St. Louis Cardinals fan. Jonas was very active in church and volunteer work with Global University and Assembly of God headquarters.

Jonas is preceded in death by his father, Jonas Miller, mother, Irene Miller, and son-in-law, Travis Wiens.

Jonas is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Wiens and fiancé, Trent Tomlinson; brother, Duane Miller and wife, Donna; two grandsons, Travis Wiens and wife, Sky and Nathan Wiens; three great-granddaughters, Hadlee. Oliva, and Nevaeh; one great-grandson, Braxton, and mother of his daughter, Rena Miller.

Memorial Services will be October 11, 2022, at 11:00 am at Maranatha Village Chapel with Chaplin Shawn Oberg officiating.
