John Dee Parrish, 45, of Springfield, passed away of natural causes in his home on the afternoon of June 25, 2018.
John was born December 23, 1972 in Springfield, Missouri to Donnie Parrish and Diana Bielicke.
Growing up, John had a love for skateboarding and BMX biking along with a knack for working on cars, which continued into a lifelong hobby. John enjoyed the art of his tattoos, motorcycles, cooking outdoors, and his music. His friends and family have all suffered from and laughed along with his sharp wit and sense of humor. He was always entertaining, breaking every rule, and never to be outdone.
John was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Lorena and Dee “MeMe and PaPa” Hammer; grandmother, Virginia Parrish; and uncle, Ronnie Parrish.
John is survived by his son, Max Parrish; his parents, Donnie Parrish, Diana Bielicke and step-dad, Frank Bielicke; his grandmother, Delores Stahl; two brothers, Kevin Strong and Ryan Young and his sister-in-law, Angela Young; six cousins, Nicki Turnbaugh, Lindsay Parrish, Joey Schulze, Katrina Schulze, Brodee Turnbaugh and Layla Schulze; his nephew, Riley Young; his aunt and uncle, Loedda and Steve Holliday; his aunt Jean Ann Quennoz; great-aunt and uncle, JoAnn and George Brinkman; close friends, G-Rod, Murray Vandenbrink, and Derek Stockton; and a multitude of friends he loved, and who all loved him.
A celebration of life gathering will be from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Friday, June 29, at Herman Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut Street, Springfield, MO.
