John O'Gorman

John Emmett O'Gorman July 13, 1916 � March 24, 2008 Mr. O'Gorman passed away March 24, 2008 at The Manor at Elfindale at 10:25 am. John was the only son of Catherine Mary Sheedy and John Daniel O'Gorman of Greene Co, MO. John married Elouise Marie Lloyd on July 23, 1939. John has now joined his beloved wife, Elouise. He was preceded in death by his grandson, James Michael O'Gorman, parents, Catherine & John O'Gorman, sister, Katherine O'Gorman, Helen Deschner, Agnes Flickinger, Margaret Shick, Ethel Dailey, and Lorraine O'Gorman.

He is survived by his son, Jim O'Gorman, wife Mona, of Cedar Hill, TX, daughter Marilyn Collins of San Antonio, TX and four grandchildren, Tracy St. John of Ovilla, TX, Lori Stringer of Cedar Hill, TX and Glen O'Gorman, Grand Prairie, TX, Tim Collins, is serving in Marine Corp. Seven Great Grandchildren, TJ St. John, Stephanie St. John, Philip Stringer, AJ Stringer, Glen O'Gorman, Sean O'Gorman, Christopher O'Gorman, all of TX. John was a member of a large Irish family that moved into Greene Co in 1880. His family owned a large farm outside of Springfield and most of down town Springfield. John served in the Navy during WW II.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2008 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E Walnut, Springfield, burial will follow in St Mary's Catholic Cemetery with his family.
