John D (J.D.) Heimann, 77 passed away July 7th, 2021, at Cox Medical Center - Branson.
He was born July 4th, 1944 to John and Mildred Heimann in St. Louis, Missouri. He graduated from Ferguson High School and Southwest Missouri State University. John served in Vietnam as a Sergeant in the Air Force as an Avionic Electronics Technician. He retired from IBM, then became a Missouri Conservationist working at the Warsaw Missouri Visitor Center at Truman Lake. John resided in St. Louis, Springfield Missouri, Sun Lakes Arizona, and Branson Missouri. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, bowling, softball, karaoke, nature, and spending time with his friends and family. He will be deeply missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mildred (Milly) and John.
He is survived by family including his two children, John Stephen Heimann (Steve) and Jill Hatfield. One granddaughter, Julia. His sister, Carolyn Gwaltney and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who he loved dearly.
Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 16th in the Nativity section of Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens, 2000 Pennsylvania Ave, St Louis, MO 63133. (SW corner of St Charles Rock Rd and Pennsylvania Ave).
