John Hardnett

The loss of our dad, John Hardnett, is the hardest thing we’ve had to endure. Our dad was only 65yrs old.

He was a man that told tall tales and was always making jokes and pranking us. He loved going out for coffee and chatting with people. He talked to everyone, he never met a stranger.

He loved all genres of music that included old school R&B, Hip Hop, Rock and Roll, even a little Country music. We will miss his 4:00am hang up calls, because he was awake and you weren’t, and his updates on tornadoes and snow storms.

He was preceded in death by his mom and dad and a number of siblings.

He is survived by his daughter Sarah Edson & husband Chad, her children Tyreece, Trendyn, and Elias, his son Travis Hardnett, his daughter Stacy Hardnett and her children Alexa and David, sons Michael Moore and Darius Hardnett, daughters Nakiya Baxter and Destiny Wright. A brother Joe Hardnett, sisters Susie Clay, Dorothy Hardnett, Dorothy Pope, and Hattie Crowley.

Life without our dad isn’t something we ever imagined would happen so soon.

A Memorial Visitation will be held from 11:00am until 1:00pm on Sunday, August 16, 2020 at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut Street in Springfield, Missouri.
