John Frank George

John Frank George passed away at the age of 83 in Bolivar, Mo.  He was born in Shenandoah, IA. He later moved to Auburn, NE when he graduated from Auburn High School.  He then served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany.  Upon returning to Auburn, he owned and operated George's body shop for many years before retiring.

John enjoyed his role as mayor of Auburn, as well as serving on the City Council and as County Commissioner, and the Board of Aldermen.

John's favorite hobbies included playing baseball and golf, hunting and fishing, gardening, riding horses, and hunting antiques.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara George; first wife, Julie George; daughter, Jill Heath and husband, Mike; stepsons, Mike Rikli, Tom Rikli, Andrew Rikli; brother, Jerry George and wife Kay; sister, Suzie Schmuck and husband Merlin; grandchildren, Jayme Buckley and husband Matt, Daniel Rikli and wife Payton, Payton Isherwood, Michael Rikli, Alexa Rikli, Josh Rikli, Adrianna Rikli, Meredith Rikli, Sam Rikli and Jacob Rikli; great-grandchildren, Cameron Isherwood and Brecken Buckley.
