John Ciezadlo

John Hugh Ciezadlo is survived by his daughters Carol (Craig) Lenning, MN Julie (Dan)
Brinson from MO and Andrea (Jesse) Blanton MO.  Grandchildren: Matthew Lenning,
Brenden Lenning, Janae Lenning, Michael Mahr, Brad Moddess, Brandi Koster,
Nathanael Brinson, Evan Brinson.  Three great­ grand children; Brielle Mahr, AJ Koster
and Gabbrella Moddes, and very special friend and dance partner, Rosemary Porter. He is
preceded in death by his parents John and Beatrice Ciezadlo, sister Joanne Martin,
daughter Jennifer Mahr and wife Diane Ciezadlo.
John grew up in a small town, Villa Park.  He attended Catholic school, all his teachers
were nuns. He had one sister, Joanne.
He was involved in his daughter’s lives.  He attended their martial arts events, school
plays and concerts.  He helped with homework, coached softball teams, took family
vacations and camping trips. He taught them how to fish, put up a tent and build a fire.
He remained close to them their whole life.
John is proud of and very blessed by his grandchildren.  And he is indeed the best grandpa in the world.
His wife died five years ago.  He missed her very much.  He made friends with a lovely
lady, Rosemary and they enjoyed dancing and going to the movies.
John survived throat cancer, but it made it difficult to swallow.  Years later he had lung
and eating problems.  He had a decline in health, but a renewal in faith and spirit.   He
died on June 30, in the hospital. He was covered in many prayers and had family beside him.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 3, 2015 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 East Walnut Street, Springfield, Missouri
Burial will be at a later date in Glen Oak Cemetery, West Chicago, Illinois.
