Joe Max Kiser

Joey “Joe” Max Kiser, age 69, of Willard, Missouri, passed away in the family home on August 1, 2023 with his beloved wife by his side.

Joe was born on March 14, 1954 in Springfield, Missouri to Don and Thelma Kiser.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Mary Kiser; 5 children, Bret Kauffman (Natalee) of Springfield, Missouri; Korie Custer (Jeremy) of Willard, Missouri; Ronna Dalton (Cody) of West Plains, Missouri; Joey Kiser (Erin) of Willard, Missouri; and Jeff Kiser (Adriana) of Sedalia, Missouri; 13 grandkids; Jason, Aron, Kerra, Kate, Devin, Emily, Ben, Klayton, Lauryn, Rilyn, Tysen, Sara, Aubree; 5 siblings, Danny Kiser (Shirley) of Springfield, Missouri; David Kiser (Mary Jo) of Springfield, Missouri; Cindy McKenzie (David) of Springfield, Missouri; Donna Wilson (Randy) of Strafford, Missouri; and Mark Kiser (Debbie) of Springfield, Missouri, as well as a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and close friends.

His parents, Don and Thelma Kiser preceded him in death.

He was a beloved husband, dad, grandpa, and friend to anyone that knew him, as well as a committed employee of City Utilities Water Department, Springfield, Missouri for over 43 years.

He will be loved and greatly missed by many.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00am Monday, August 7, 2023 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens 3506 N. National Avenue in Springfield, Missouri with Pastor Phillip Wright officiating.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home in Springfield, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Research Hospital in honor of Joe.
