Joan House

Joan Marie (Prugger) House, 87, went to be with her husband Jack on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. She had been a resident at the Springfield Villa Care Facility the past year.

Joan was born June 19, 1934, the 5th of 7 children to John and Dimple Prugger. She married Jack on September 18, 1954, and to that union they had two children.

Joan is survived by her son Jack House and wife Robin, her daughter Debra and husband Michael Owensby, along with many family members who will miss her.

Her pride and joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who she would do anything for. Casey (House)Mitchell and husband David and their two sons Mason and Tyson. Cade and Nicole House and their two children Finley and Roen. Hunter and Simone Owensby and their daughter Mila. Seaton and Nichole Owensby and their son Augustus, along with a baby boy arriving in January 2022.

A funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 27, 2021, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father Paul McLoughlin officiating, under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 East Walnut.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Regional Hospice, 3405 West Mt. Vernon Street, Springfield, MO. 65802 which provided tender care to Joan in her final days.
