Joan Foss

Joan (Judy) Mary Foss, age 78, of Springfield, Missouri left us to be with her Savior at 4:15 pm on Monday evening, April 26, 2021 surrounded by her family.

She was born on December 19, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri the daughter of Henry Fred Schwan and Margaret Mary (Fitzgerald) Schwan.

On October 23, 1970 she married Larry James Foss in Florissant, Missouri.

Judy was a woman of her word. She so much-loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed doing family history work, anything nature related, going on rides, colleting anything blue and white porcelain and windmills. She was truly the glue that held our loving family together. She will greatly be missed.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Margaret Schwan; two brothers, Tom Schwan and Mickey Schwan.

She is survived by her brother, John Schwan; her husband, Larry James Foss, I; one son, Larry Foss, II; two daughters, Heidi Foss and Tonia Foss; her grandchildren, Julina Foss, Aaron Ellis, Jessica Ellis, Christian Foss-Boyd, and one great granddaughter, Addyson Caldwell.

Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Monday, May 3, 2021 at The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints, 4450 S. Farm Road 141 Springfield, Missouri 65810. Funeral Services will be held at 11:30am on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at the church. Burial will be at 1:00pm on Tuesday in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood Road, Springfield, Missouri 65804.
