Jo Lee Ann Cook, 67, of Springfield, MO passed away at 7:36 PM Wednesday May 20th 2020 in
her home.
She was born May 23rd 1952 in Huntington Park, CA to James and Paula Bittle. She graduated
from College of the Ozarks in 1974 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and her
teaching certificate. She married Daniel Cook on June 1st 1974 in Branson, MO. She taught for
the Spokane R7 School district for over 30 years until her retirement in 2005. She enjoyed
spending time with her grandchildren and her sons and will be deeply missed by all who knew
her.
She was preceded in death by her parents James and Paula; her grandparents John Paul and
Minnie Jones whom raised her; and her former husband Daniel Cook.
She is survived by her sister, Toni Pudder; brother, Lynn Lutjen; her sons, Josh, Paul, and
Stephen Cook; and her grandchildren, Morgan, Madison, Mason, and Maylynn Cook.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. As soon as that time has been determined it will be posted to our website.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a higher education fund for her grandchildren, in care of Herman Lohmeyer Funeral Home.
