Jo Ann Dosing Brown

Jo Ann Dosing Brown died on February 3, 2010, at the age of 77 in St. Petersburg, Florida. She was born January 14, 1933, in Springfield, Missouri, daughter of Victor 0. and Rosalie Dosing. Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Susan Francis Caldwell and son Victor Stephen Morton, all of Springfield.

On January 14, 1989, she married Guy E. Brown and spent 21 wonderful years with him in St. Petersburg. Ms. Brown was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class, where she was the church librarian for many years. She had a career as a physician's assistant and other work in the medical field in Springfield and St. Petersburg for about 55 years.

Ms. Brown is survived by her husband Guy, daughter Diane L. Morton of Tampa, Florida; two sisters, Jan Copeland of Springfield, Missouri and Vicki Dosing of Surprise, Arizona. She leaves behind loving nieces and their families, and many friends. She will be greatly missed.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday February 8, 2010, at Maple Park Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri with Rev. Dennis Gromer officiating under the care of Herman Lohmeyer Funeral Home.
