Jimmy Schneider
Jimmy Ralph Schneider, of Springfield, MO, passed away on March 4, 2016 He was born May 10, 1940 in LaPlata, Missouri to Kathyrn and Maynard Schneider.
He graduated from LaPlata High School in 1958 and moved to Carrolton, MO. He married Lois Hockemeier on December 22, 1961. To this union 2 daughters were born; Laina Tryon and Jill Braxmeyer. The couple moved to Southern California in 1970 where Jim lived until August 2015.
He was in the Army from 1962-1965 completing his bootcamp at Fort Leonard Wood and then served a tour of duty in the Vietnam War. He was named solider of the month in Vietnam for the 545th transportation detachment.
Those that preceded him are his mother, father, step mother Leola, and 1 sister Sonja.
Jim is survived by his 2 daughters and their spouses; Laina and Mike Tryon, Urbana, MO and Jill and Jimmie Braxmeyer of Vista, CA, his grandchildren Rachelle and Dustin Prest, of Springfield, MO, Shaun Tryon, of Miami, FL and James and Bryce Braxmeyer, of Vista, CA, and 5 great-grandsons.
Jim is also survived by his brother Max Schneider, of Columbia, MO and his sister Candy and Gil Lujano, of Vista, CA.
Services will be held Monday, April 4th at 11am at Missouri Veterans Cemetary, 5201 S Southwood Rd, Springfield, MO
