Jessie Gaddy

Jessie Aline Teer Gaddy, wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, went home to Heaven on July 4, 2016. She was born September 17, 1938, in Talogo, Oklahoma. She was a tremendous woman who held many titles but certainly wife and mother were the closest to her heart. She was the matriarch of our family and not only taught us, but showed us all what true love was. The ones she loved always knew she loved them. Giving and showing love was something that came very natural for her which is probably why she made such an incredible wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Velma Thomas; father, Lewis Teer; two brothers, Marvin and Floyd Teer; sister, Arlene Flyingout; and daughter Saundra Condra.

She is survived by her husband William (Bill) Gaddy; brother, Earl Teer and wife Vio; sister-in-law Betty Steele and husband Jerry; son’s Jeff Gaddy and wife Mandi, and Jason Gaddy and wife Terri; daughter’s, Vicky Hood and husband Robert, and Paula Thompson, all of Springfield. Grandchildren Ryan, Mathew, Jordan, Tessie, Ashley, Eli, Kellen, Wesley, Holden, Emma, and Jessie, 15 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorial graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2016 in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood, Springfield; Under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, Springfield.

Reception to follow at: The Barnhouse Event Center, formally known as: American Legion 676, 5484 W. Sunshine St., Brookline, Mo.
