James D. Woodward, 55, Springfield, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2020 in his home.
A celebration of life of James D. Woodward “Jim” will be held on Friday, December 4, 2020, 4:30 – 6:30 pm at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home. Weary of reading obituaries, noting someone’s battle with death Jim wanted it known that he died as a result of being stubborn, refusing to go to the doctor and raising hell for 5 decades. He enjoyed bud light, tobacco, guns, and younger women until the day he died. More seriously, he was so proud of his daughter, enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time outdoors, Jim never met a stranger and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Jim was born April 30, 1965 to Lee and Sue Woodward. He attended school at Parkview High School and graduated in 1983, he completed his college degree from SMSU. He worked as a service advisor for Don Wessel for 20 years and more recent for Tanner’s Paint and Body where he wrote estimates for auto body repair.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his daughter, Riley Woodward; sister, Carolyn Melton & husband David; nephew Austin Woodward & wife Felisha; other family and many friends.
