James Williams

It is with great sorrow to inform the world of the death of James Edgar Williams on Saturday, October 1, 2022. He was such a gentle and kind man. The world has lost a very special individual indeed. Jim had two passions in life and they were theatre and travel. His curiosity and sense of adventure was boundless. He was the epitome of a true gentleman.

Jim was born on Thursday, December 13, 1945, in the city of Sullivan, Missouri and is preceded in death by his parents: Reid S. Williams and Madge V. Williams and sister-in law Karen Williams.

His living relatives: brother Richard Williams and his domestic partner Douglas L. Clark. Plus, several wonderful nephews and nieces. He so treasured all of these individuals who enriched his life.

Jim was a member of the Air Force Reserves as SGT. James E. Williams. He joined the air force and served a tour of duty in Itazuke, Japan. After his tour of duty, he was honorably discharged.

His school years were in Sullivan, Missouri and graduated from Sullivan High School. He attended Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri and graduated with a Bachelor of Science, Marketing Degree.
The career choice he made was that of working in the banking world. He was employed by Bank of America in Kansas City, Missouri as a vice president. He worked there for many years and then retired.

His retirement years consisted of traveling around the world and living a life of contentment.
