James Foraker

James DeWayne Foraker, 69, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend passed away peacefully at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO on March 14, 2023, after a heroic fight following an acute illness, his wife and love of his life, Shannon was by his side.

Jimmy was born on August 20, 1953, to Robert E. Foraker Sr. & JoAnne Louise Foraker (Whitman) in Springfield, IL.

He was such a fun-loving person and would help anyone, a great listener and so much fun to be around. Some of his loves in life were traveling, woodworking/carpentry/roofing, camping, fishing, singing, music and playing the guitar. We will all miss his love, his life, and his crazy but fun personality. He made all people around him laugh and we will always treasure our memories in the part of his life we shared.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Robert and JoAnne Foraker.

He is survived by his wife and soulmate of 43 years, Shannon Foraker, Siblings: Robert E. Foraker Jr., DeAnna Dean, Linda Madrid and husband Luis, Tony Tackett and wife Francine, Jeffrey Stewart and the “other” brother Robert Brinker-Hartley, Children: Bradley Rogers and wife Penny, Jodi Jones and husband Gregg, Joshua Foraker and wife Cortney, Grandchildren: Brady Rogers, Kiersan Black, Bailey Black, Jasper Jones, Brayden and Bowen Foraker, Nieces and Nephews: Kimmie Foraker, Krista Foraker, Aunie Baker and husband Denny, Bobby Foraker, Nikki Foraker, Keri Dean, Jayson Gabriel and wife Lauren, Erin Gabriel, Heather Tackett and Jesse Tackett, Great Nieces and Nephews: Cody Foraker, Ryan Moreland, Ehren Moreland, Khyla Moreland, Caitlan Foraker, Cameron Johnson, Kami Johnson, Kaaiden Johnson, Presley Gabriel, Brantley Gabriel, Aubree Grace Roark (Gabriel), He also leaves behind great-great nieces, Ember and Kharsyn Moreland, and many loving cousins and friends.

There will be no funeral services. The family asks that you take a moment to hug your spouse, child, grandchild, friends, or walk in the woods for a moment, an hour or a day to reflect and appreciate life.
