James Cloyes

James Michael Cloyes, 77, of Dallas, Texas, died September 29, 2023.

James was born in Chicago, Illinois, on July 19, 1946, to Robert James and Alberta Jack (Buell) Cloyes. He graduated from Southern Methodist University in University Park, Texas. James served honorably in the United States Army. He retired from the the city of Dallas, Texas. His dream was to work in the movie industry, which was shown by his extensive movie collection.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Alberta Cloyes; his maternal grandparents, Albert Dunlevy and Ruth Belle (Shipman) Buell; his paternal grandparents, Harry J. and Katherine Rowena (Jarrett) Cloyes; and his cousins, Hal (Kathy) Buell and Larry Buell. He is survived by his cousins, Jack (Connie) Buell, Betty (David) Dodgen, Jill (Jerry) Jackson, Toni (Kevin) Saunders, and Cheryl Buell.

Interment will be in New Home Cemetery near Green Forest, Arkansas at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut Street in Springfield, Missouri.
