Irene Weatherwax, 86, Springfield, passed away Sunday February 5, 2012.
She was born June 22, 1925 in Bolivar, Missouri to James and Winnie (Waggoner) Ammerman.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Virgil Weatherwax; sister, Betty Anderson; and brother, J.D. Ammerman.
She is survived by her brother Bob Ammerman, and his wife Kay; sister, Gloria Fay Weatherwax, and her husband James; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday February 8, 2012 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut St.
There will be private family graveside services in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
