Hugh Olson

Hugh A. Olson, 82, son of Otis and Viola Olson. Hugh grew up in Detroit and worked for Chrysler Engineering and Creative Industries for over 40 years. He graduated from Cass Tech High School in 1946 and married Beverly Brown in 1949. Hugh served his country proudly in the US Army during the Korean War and was given a battlefield commission as Lieutenant.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Beverly, son Greg Olson (Kim) , daughter Beth Stern (Jeffrey), brother, James Olson (Betty) and 5 grandchildren, Bryant Olson, Daniel Stern, Carolyn Poorman (Edward), Joanna Phemister (Adam), Jessica Mattson (Brian) and a beautiful 3 year old Great Grandchild, Sophia and soon to be born Maddox Allan.

A memorial service will be held at Wesley UMC on Monday, January 17, at 2:00 pm. Burial at Missouri Veteran's Cemetery.
