Herman Renfrow, 80, Springfield, passed away at 7:45 a.m. Monday, April 9, 2007 in Springfield Rehab and Health Care Center.
He was born January 26, 1927 in St. Louis, Missouri to Arthur Alexander and Margarette Hien. Herman was kind and loving man. As part of the "Greatest Generation" he served proudly in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific during WWII.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Eva Diaz Renfrow; his son, William Renfrow; and his brothers, Henry and Eric Hien.
He is survived by his children, Ron Renfrow, and his wife Doris of Ozark, Mo, Darlean Phillips, and her husband Ron of Claremore, Ok., Evelyn Whitmer, and her husband Mark of Claremore, Ok., Alice Duarte, and her husband Porfie of Yorba Linda, Ca., Karen Jarmillow, and her husband Kenny of Placentia, Ca., Art Renfrow, and his wife Donna of Willard, Mo., Warren Renfrow, and his wife Julie of Anaheim, Ca.; 17 grandchildren; many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 12, 2007 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home 500 E. Walnut St. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Online condolences can be made at www.hhlohmeyer.com.
