Herbert Stewart

Herb W. Stewart, 61 years old, of Fremont Hills, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2004 after a short illness. He was born April 5, 1943 in Wichita Falls, Texas and was raised in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Herb graduated from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas in 1967 and received his MBA from SMS in 1974. He had an entrepreneurial spirit, having started several successful businesses. He had a passion for golf and a love for singing. He will be forever known for his sense of humor and wit. His greatest love was being with his family.

Herb is survived by his wife, Kathy; son, Tyler and wife, LeAnn, and their children, Trey, Tanner and Tavin, of Grapevine, Texas, and son Casey and wife, Hannah, of Yukon, Oklahoma; daughter, Courtney Nelson and husband Dean, and their children, Dylan and Cole, of North Richland Hills, Texas; daughter, Kelly Stewart; mother, Bonnie Murphy; sister, Barbara Reese; brother, Chuck Stewart; many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces & nephews; and Barney.

Herb will be greatly missed by family and friends, but we know he's with his special father-in-law, Bill Rostine, whom he admired and loved.

Memorial services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 16, 2004 in Wesley United Methodist Church, 922 West Republic Road, with Rev. Rod Kelley and Rev. Bill Moore officiating, under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home.
