Henry Schlesinger

Henry (Hank) Schlesinger died Tuesday, August 24, 2004. Henry was born on August 29, 1919 in Springfield, Illinois to Phillip and Elizabeth Schlesinger. A long time resident of St. Louis, Missouri, he served in World War II as lieutenant colonel in the Army. His life work was as a real estate professional.

Henry was preceded in death by his mother and father; as well as his sister, Miriam Feldman; and brother, Robert Schlesinger.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann "Nan" (O'Reilly); son Jeffrey Schlesinger of St. Louis; daughter Linda Newmark of St. Louis; grandchildren Sara and Daniel Newmark of St. Louis and Benjamin Newmark of San Fransico, California; and a large extended family with whom he had a close and personal relationship.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, 2004, in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home 500 E. Walnut St. Burial will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm today Aug. 25 in the funeral home.
