Helen Marie Stillings, 88, of Clinton, Iowa, died June 3, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center North Campus in Clinton, Iowa.
Helen was born on June 15, 1924 in Reeder Anderson County, Kansas. She was the daughter of Howard and Gertrude (Akers).
She was a 1943 graduate of Osawatomie, Schools in Kansas. She married Loran Stillings on April 11, 1947.
She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish. She enjoyed being a homemaker. She spent her time crocheting, gardening, reading and was a seamstress. But most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Helen is survived by her children, James E. (Patti) Stillings, Willard, MO; Joseph A. (Judy) Stillings, Lampe, Mo; John A. Stillings, Marshalltown, Ia; Anna M. Stillins, Sterling, Il; Mary Milligan, Albany, Il; Mike L. (Nancy) Stillings, Camanche, Ia; Teresa J. (Warren) Brock, St. Charles, Mo; Charles W. (Amanda) Stillings, Albany, Il; Thomas C. (Brenda) Stillings, Albany, Il; Veronica M. (Jeff) Blomquist, Monroe City, Mo; grandchildren, Joe, Tony, Chrissey, Shana, Jennifer, David, Misty Rose, Joshua, Jacob, Michael, Nicholas, Trisha, Aaron, Ayden, Noah, Elijah, and 1 step granddaughter Allison; 15 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Marge Baldwin, RuthAnn (Lloyd) Hughes, and 1 brother John (Betty) Griffin.
Preceding Helen in death were her parents, husband Loran in 2008, son Robert, son-in-law Stephen Milligan, grandson Charles Leroy, 3 brothers, William, Charles, and Larry Griffin, 1 sister Rosemary Applegate.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday June 14, 2013 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut Street.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2013 in St. Agnes Cathedral. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
Memorial may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
