Harlen Hiatt

Harlen Julius Hiatt, 80 of Springfield passed away in his home on November 29, 2013. He was born October 28, 1933to Louis Raymond and Onilda Rose (Brinker) Hiatt in Washington, Missouri. Harlen served as a sergeant in the US Army during Korea and Vietnam. He received the Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and was also a Tactics Instructor in Fort Ord, California. Harlen was designated Marksman for both rifle and carbine.
Graveside services with military honors will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday December 17, 2013 in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery with Deacon Bill Keller officiating under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home. Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday December 16, 2013 in the funeral home
