Guy Girardi

Guy Carmen Girardi, 87, Springfield passed away Monday August 16, 2010 in St. John's Hospital.

He was born July 11, 1923 in Chicago, Illinois to Salvatore and Susan (Toscano) Girardi. Guy served as a Sergeant in the United States Army during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jennie Girardi; his parents; his brother, Tony; his sister, Mary; and his granddaughter, Lisa Marie.

Guy is survived by his sons, Michael Girardi and Raymond Girardi, and his wife Virginia; his grandchildren, Guy Girardi, and his wife Melinda, Theresa Kolie, and her husband Guy, Joe Girardi, and his wife, Patty and John Girardi; seven great grandchildren, Daniele Kolie, Krista Girardi, Nicole Girardi, Billy Rhoades, Amanda Rhoades, Yvette Girardi and Preston Kolie; and his brother, Sam Girardi and his wife Maureen.

Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. Thursday August 19, 2010 in Resurrection Cemetery under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut St.
